Savannah / Statesboro, GA

Savannah, Georgia is a charming Southern escape known for its manicured parks, horse-drawn carriages and antebellum architecture. Its historic district is filled with cobblestoned squares shaded by oak trees covered with Spanish moss. Add in the rich mix of restaurants and entertainment venues, and easy access to Georgia beaches, and it’s easy to see why Savannah is a prime destination for travelers. In fact, hospitality and tourism in the region have scored 10 percent growth over the last few years.

The Savannah economy has become increasingly diverse over the years and is better suited to weather economic storms than surrounding counties that often depend on just a few companies for employment. Savannah boasts a substantial number of big employers, from aerospace giant Gulfstream and a large warehousing and logistics industry surrounding the Port of Savannah to healthcare, tourism and a substantial military presence.
